Position Overview:
Ifakara Health Institute is currently recruiting for the position of Field Interviewer in Dar es Salaam. The Field Interviewer will play a crucial role in data collection for research projects, contributing to the generation of valuable insights that inform public health strategies.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection:

• Conduct interviews and surveys with study participants in the field.
• Administer structured questionnaires and gather relevant data.

1. Participant Recruitment:

• Identify and recruit eligible participants for research studies.
• Explain study objectives and procedures to potential participants.

1. Data Quality Assurance:

• Ensure accurate and complete data collection through rigorous adherence to study protocols.
• Verify and cross-check information obtained from participants.

1. Community Engagement:

• Establish positive relationships with the community and study participants.
• Address participant questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.

1. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed and organized records of study activities.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the project supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, public health).
• Previous experience in field data collection and community engagement is an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in both English and Swahili.
