Our initial focus is on battery storage, a crucial component for establishing a flexible and environmentally friendly power grid. By providing energy when it is most needed, we help improve the reliability and efficiency of the power grid while simultaneously reducing CO2 emissions. Equally important to our mission is our AI-based energy trading in the European market, which works hand in hand with our battery storage solutions.

Our Team:

The energy trading unit is responsible for optimizing assets across all markets, balancing renewables, and proprietary trading. We trade short term power algorithmically in an expanding geographical scope and have a highly technical team of veteran software engineers, leading AI experts and power trading professionals.

We are looking to strengthen our team with two additional Quant Trader (m/f/d) roles which shall jointly cover the responsibilities mentioned below, so it is fine if you feel you only qualify for a part of that.

Your Tasks:

• Take P&L responsibility
• Work together with our AI-experts on improving and expanding our deep learning models and bringing them to market.
• Develop your own price forecasts for different markets
• Further developing our battery optimisation framework
• Develop and implement algorithmic trading strategies – from mid-term quant strategies to high-frequency trading
• Work closely with our software and data engineers in product owner roles on a project basis
• Participate in trade ops day shift

• Fluent in English, German is a plus

Qualifications:

• University degree in computer or natural sciences, mathematics or economics
• Python, relevant data science libraries, Git and Docker. Experience in R or typescript is a plus.
• 3+ years experience in short term power markets, preferably Germany, other markets are a strong plus.
• Extensive experience in deep learning methods, ML or statistical modeling
• Experience in asset optimization including ancillary services
• Experience in market microstructures and high-frequency trading is a plus.
