Bagel Baker

At HALO Bagels, we are dedicated to redefining the bagel experience in Berlin with our artisanal sourdough bagels. We strongly believe that our passion for food and hospitality will create joyful moments that bring people together - we call them FULL CIRCLE MOMENTS.

We are seeking a new team member to join our diverse and international team on our journey to becoming a beloved food brand in Berlin.

Tasks

• You’re responsible for the daily production of all our sourdough bagel breads including hand shaping, proofing, bathing and baking.
• You’re responsible of maintaining and carrying out cleaning tasks in the BOH and complying with operational hygiene measurements as well as legal regulations
• You’re actively managing food inventory following FIFO/FEFO, including storage control and weekly order planning
• You are supporting the other team members on the production of all bagel toppings by turning raw quality ingredients into our-in-house developed recipes (including meat/fish preparation)

Requirements

• You’re having experience in baking and a strong desire to excel in your daily work (experience in kitchen is a plus, but not mandatory)
• You’re able to switch easily from a baked-goods production to food preparation and posses strong organizational skills
• You’re naturally having a strong team spirit mindset, with excellent communication skills and getting energized by working with people
• You’re personally passionate about food & hospitality and feel fully connected with the HALO brand and the product to deliver top quality everyday
• You’re open to work flexible hours during weekdays and weekends, and have been already exposed to work in fast-paced environments
• You’re fluent in English, German is a plus
