We are hiring

We’re looking for a Product Design Lead to design the next generation of digital metabolic care; turning cutting-edge science and AI into beautifully simple experiences that change lives for patients, healthcare professionals, and partners.

You will set the bar for quality, guide our design vision, and build on the foundations for how we understand and solve user needs. You’ll work closely with our CEO, Head of Product, engineering, data science, and clinical teams to turn complex problems into simple, human-centered solutions. Your work will directly influence care outcomes and help define what exceptional design looks like in digital metabolic health.

Tasks

What you’ll do

• Own end-to-end product design; from discovery and user research to prototyping, visual design, and polished delivery.
• Establish our design vision and principles; ensuring every experience aligns with clinical impact, behavioral science, and our mission.
• Build and maintain our design system; enabling speed, consistency, and scalability across patient and provider-facing products.
• Run deep user discovery with patients, healthcare professionals, and internal experts, translating insights into actionable product direction.
• Design new solutions beyond the DiGA offering , including tools for healthcare professionals and workflows across multiple stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering to bring ideas to life quickly through experiments, prototypes, and iterative refinement.
• Bring clarity to complexity; distill clinical, data, and regulatory constraints into usable and intuitive experiences.
• Leverage AI thoughtfully within the user experience, exploring new interaction patterns and designing responsible, trustworthy interfaces.
• Champion design culture inside Una—raising the craft, introducing best practices, and helping the company become design-led.

Requirements

What you bring

• 5+ years of hands-on product design experience , ideally including work in fast-paced startups or early-stage environments.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design , end-to-end execution, and the ability to simplify complex workflows.
• Expertise across UX, UI, interaction design, and research —you’re comfortable owning the full process.
• Experience building or contributing to design systems that support rapid product iteration.
• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
• Experience designing for AI-powered experiences , including prototyping and exploring new interaction models.
• A mindset of curiosity and rapid learning—you quickly understand new domains, clinical contexts, and user motivations.
• Ability to collaborate deeply with product, engineering, and clinical teams, bringing structure, clarity, and creativity.
