API Product Manager

You'd be in charge of how we create and improve the APIs that developers use to connect with our platform

Your daily tasks will include:

You'd be in charge of how we create and improve the APIs that developers use to connect with our platform.

• API Focus:

  • We think APIs are really important for connecting different systems, and we want to make ours the best they can be.

  • You'd make sure our APIs are well-designed, have good documentation, and are easy for developers to work with.

• Working with Important Clients:

  • Some of our biggest clients use our APIs a lot.

  • You'd work with these clients to understand what they need and make sure our APIs meet those needs.

• Growing API Use:

  • You'd be responsible for getting more people to use our APIs.

  • That could involve improving our documentation, working with the developer community, and maybe even figuring out how to make money from them.

• Working with Other Teams:

  • You'd work closely with our engineers to plan and build new API features.

  • You'd also work with marketing and sales to let people know about our APIs.

Your qualifications:

For this role, you'd need to understand APIs, have some business sense, and be interested in working with them.

Technical Background:

• You should have a good understanding of how APIs work.

• It would be helpful if you've worked with APIs before, either as a developer or in a product role.

• It's important that you can use our APIs yourself to understand the developer experience.

Working with Big Companies:

• It would be great if you have experience working with large organizations.

• You'd need to understand their needs and priorities when it comes to APIs.

Business Skills:

• Since you'd be responsible for growing our API program, you'll need some business skills.

• You should be able to find new opportunities and come up with plans to take advantage of them.

Communication and Teamwork:

• You'll need to be a good communicator and team player, since you'll be working with lots of different people.

• You should be able to explain technical things clearly and build good relationships.

Interest in APIs:

• We want someone who's genuinely interested in APIs and how they can be useful.

• If you like working with developers or building communities, that would be a good fit.

Strategic Thinking:

• You'll need to be able to think about the big picture and where the API program fits into the company's overall strategy.
