We are on the lookout for a Senior VAT Specialist - International VAT, Technology & Processes to join the Tax Team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

• Together with the Senior Manager VAT, you will lead critical initiatives , such as a tax engine implementation and other projects we share with other departments, cross-functional and international subsidiaries.

• Act as the primary VAT point of contact for Legal and Procurement, guiding them on complex domestic and cross-border transactions.

• Drive the continuous improvement of VAT processes, optimizing complex transaction patterns , such as triangulations, and implementing robust solutions.

• Be integral to the roll out of our new Tax Control Centre (Loctax) and the revision of our Tax Compliance Management System (TCMS), driving the harmonisation of international VAT compliance processes together with regional and local tax teams.

Qualifications

• You should have an in-depth knowledge of German and European VAT law , acquired through several years of professional experience at a Big 4 firm or with a comparable employer.

• Ideally, you will have completed a degree in Economics, Finance, or Law, or an apprenticeship as a tax clerk, or hold a similar qualification.

• You should have a strong attention to detail, be hands-on, and demonstrate a reflective and structured way of working.

• You should fluent in English (C1+ or native); German proficiency (B2+ or native) is highly desirable.

• You should be highly proficient with business software, including ERP systems such as SAP S/4 HANA as well as productivity and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
