Lead Supervisor and Head Barista (m/f/d)

Your role:

• Take on a leadership role as the direct manager of our Café Supervisors — starting with three and expanding to six as part of your regular scope — guiding them through regular mentoring, addressing day-to-day challenges, overseeing and approving their schedules, and continuously improving how we lead our teams. You’ll set the tone by being a strong role model
• Lead the creation and development of our drink menu, from core offerings to seasonal specials, ensuring they are cost-efficient and consistently executed across all locations
• Design and deliver training programs for our supervisors, enabling them to effectively onboard and upskill their baristas. These trainings should focus on topics that have a direct impact on customer experience
• Collaborate closely with the roastery and marketing teams on new coffee launches, providing feedback on coffee quality and ensuring bar execution aligns with product storytelling
• Regularly conduct quality checks and calibrations to evaluate the impact of training programs, and develop new ways to ensure our teams follow standards and consistently deliver an excellent customer experience
• Report to the Retail Operations Manager and work closely with the Retail Expansion Manager on workflow improvements, guideline updates, etc.

Your profile:

• At least 3–4 years of experience in the specialty coffee industry. You’re confident in brewing high-quality coffee and hold yourself to high standards
• Minimum 1–2 years of leadership experience with a proven track record of keeping your team motivated and turnover low
• Experience in developing and delivering training programs in gastronomy. Experience in training those who train others is a strong plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Confident working with digital tools like Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and spoken English (C1–C2 level). Solid German skills are a big plus
• A valid work permit for full-time and long-term employment in Germany is required
• Availability to work 5 days a week and to cover emergencies on your scheduled days, only in exceptional cases, to keep operations running smoothly. Your main workplace is our office in Berlin Wedding. Our offer:
