Senior Software Engineer (AI Agents & Frontend Automation)

Laioutr is the Frontend Management Platform for modern commerce teams. We enable brands to operate hundreds of storefronts, ship content updates instantly, and roll out conversion-driving improvements without relying on agencies or large development teams.

The next evolution: AI Agents (“Larry’s Friends”) that execute repetitive tasks autonomously, from content creation to layout adjustments, UX improvements, and analytics-driven actions.

To build this AI layer, we’re searching for an engineer who can blend LLM engineering with product thinking .

Tasks

You will design and build the AI Agents inside Laioutr, autonomous systems that create, validate, analyze, and automate tasks across components, content, and markets. Your work will define how hundreds of brands operate their digital experiences.

• Develop, integrate, and scale AI Agents that perform autonomous content, UX, and analytics tasks
• Build agent pipelines (tool usage, orchestration, memory, retrieval, caching)
• Design Agent Actions that can modify layouts, components, content models, markets, translations, and campaigns
• Integrate agents into our Next.js/Nuxt-powered frontend layer
• Implement secure multi-tenant AI features (rate limits, isolation, logging, observability)
• Work closely with Product & Design to translate ideas into concrete AI features
• Drive architectural decisions for Laioutr’s AI layer
• Evaluate new LLM and agentic technologies (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, embeddings, vectorstores)

Requirements

Must-haves

• Strong experience with TypeScript
• Professional experience with Next.js, Nuxt, Vue, or React
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, etc.)
• Practical understanding of tool use / function calling , structured outputs, and agentic workflows
• Familiarity with RAG , vectorstores, and retrieval patterns
• Strong knowledge of API design , middleware, and modern auth (JWT/OAuth)
• Product-minded, independent working style

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Vercel , serverless runtimes, edge functions
• Knowledge of headless commerce (Shopify, Shopware, commercetools, BigCommerce)
• Interest in UX automation and content workflows
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, AI SDKs, or custom agent frameworks
