The Department of Accounting and Finance is looking to recruit an Associate Lecturer in Accounting and Finance. 

You will be required to deliver on campus teaching to students studying our BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance programme. 

Being experienced at teaching students at level 4 and above in Accounting and Finance, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver a student-centred teaching approach. Ideally you will have a teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards one. In addition, you will hold at least a postgraduate degree in Accounting and Finance, and ideally a professional accountancy qualification. 

Demonstrable industry experience will enhance your application as well as a knowledge of ACCA and CIMA. As our teaching is done both online and in person, experience of delivering lectures and supporting students in an online or blended learning environment would be desirable. 

Exposure to virtual learning environments, and other online tools to support student learning (e.g. Moodle, Blackboard or similar). You will have both teaching and learning and marking and assessment responsibilities.

This is not a permanent or full-time role.

About You:

You will be an experienced associate lecturer with the ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning. The following qualifications and skills are required:

Essential:

• A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience teaching and assessing students within the UK higher education sector.
• Experience delivering student-centred teaching and, for DL roles, experience of teaching through distance learning.
• Up-to-date industry experience.
• Fellowship of Advance HE (or willingness to work towards it with Arden’s support).

Desirable:

• A teaching qualification.
• For teaching at postgraduate level, a postgraduate qualification or equivalent.
