Head of Engineering - Platform (all genders)
We are looking for a Head of Engineering for the Platform team in the heart of buzzing Berlin!
As the Head of Engineering, you'll spearhead our technical efforts and lead the engineering teams responsible for building and scaling our platform products. You will play a pivotal role in driving our engineering vision and strategy aligned with our company's goals.
You'll foster strong collaboration with product management, research, and cross-functional units to ensure the seamless execution of product initiatives from ideation to deployment. You will also be instrumental in understanding the needs of our stakeholders and driving the evolution of engineering solutions that fulfill these needs.
This role demands a solid technical foundation, exceptional leadership abilities, and a fervent enthusiasm for developing sophisticated and user-centric platform products. You will
- Lead and inspire a group of engineering teams, driving the innovation and strategy behind our internal platform products, including Identity, CRM, customer service, and content production.
- Drive the technical execution of product development from planning to release, working closely with product management, research, and other business units.
- Establish the engineering roadmap and direction, ensuring alignment with our company's strategic objectives and OKRs, including breaking down complex projects into manageable milestones and overseeing delivery.
- Gain a profound understanding of our stakeholders' needs, directing the engineering team's efforts to meet and exceed these requirements.
- Enhance product lifecycle management by monitoring performance, leveraging data for decision-making, and implementing optimizations.
- Cultivate a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and open communication within the team, emphasizing accountability and high standards.
- Guide and mentor engineering managers, promoting continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth.
You have
- A proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams and delivering successful platform products in domains such as CRM, content, identity, or similar.
- Exceptional strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to turn vision into executable strategies and tangible outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership prowess with a history of nurturing and growing high-calibre engineering teams.
- In-depth knowledge of technology and industry trends within the platform domain.
- A strong DevOps culture mindset that will help your teams fully own their domains. You build it, you run it, you own it.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities, adept at influencing and collaborating at various organizational levels.
- A customer-first approach, with a deep comprehension of user needs and behaviors to drive product development that elevates the internal customer experience.
