Founding GTM
build for those who build
opus builds the platform to deploy AI agents across industrial supply chain operations. Our mission is to strengthen Europe's industrial backbone by making operational processes future-proof. The agents automate the purchase order lifecycle end to end, giving companies control over their single largest cost driver. They run on the supply chain context graph: a real-time intelligence layer built from ERP data and the knowledge that today only lives in inboxes and people's heads. That graph is where the value sits, and it carries agent use cases far beyond procurement. Leading companies already trust opus AI agents and are transforming their processes into a competitive advantage with us.
we are in production with enterprise customers – scaling rapidly and shipping new features as we speak.
we secured $6M in funding from Project A, Speedinvest, Sequoia Scouts and industry veterans like Marcell Vollmer (former Chief Digital Officer & Chief Procurement Officer of SAP).
we are a team of entrepreneurs, industry experts, and engineers driven by a joint ambition – to safeguard the economic foundation of Europe for future generations.
as Founding GTM, you define how opus goes to market. you work side by side with Beni (CEO) and Niklas (COO), and pipeline is your territory: improving the process from discovery to closing, hitting our ARR targets, running the best sales process in the game. small team already in place, real customers using the product, real revenue on the board. now we need someone who pushes us to the next level. we're co-defining how industrial enterprises run their supply chains in the future, and every touchpoint is part of it: a relationship built, a lead always up to speed, a signal captured. your job: support the founders in closing pipeline, then take it over yourself.
Tasks
The impact you will have
- be in the room from day one. enterprise customer conversations with Europe's industrial giants: you prepare them, you're part of them, you own the follow-through.
- build the materials deals turn on. decks, business cases, follow-ups. tailored to the stakeholder in the room, at the quality level enterprise buyers expect.
- make our presence professional. on-site at customer offices, showing up at trade fairs, in the workshops where buyers gather. when opus is in the room, opus is the best-prepared party in it, and that's on you.
- optimize the funnel end to end. discovery, qualification, demo, close: you find where deals stall, run the experiment, and lift the numbers that matter. if something isn't converting, you fix it.
- build the founding GTM squad. as we grow, you bring in the first Account Executives alongside you, set the bar, run the reviews, give the hard feedback. the closing team runs without founders in the room, because you built it that way.
- run every deal like a project. MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, whatever discipline gets applied: you know where every deal stands, what unlocks the next step, and what's blocking the close. no deal in your pipeline is a mystery.
- make each customer a proof point. references, case studies, testimonials, joint appearances. every enterprise close becomes ammunition for the next five.
- sharpen who we sell to. which industries, which company size, which persona, which pain. you take everything we're learning in the field and tighten the ICP week over week, so every hour spent selling is spent on the right accounts.
Requirements
⭐️ What makes you a great fit
- 1 to 3 years in consulting, B2B/enterprise software sales, or similar. hands on the wheel. you've personally carried ARR closed, not activity. you've run complex projects end to end: multiple deadlines, senior stakeholders, clean output every time. slides that hold up in a boardroom, models that hold up under scrutiny, communication that lands from user to C-level. AI-native as a default. ideally as a first commercial hire, ex-founder, or at a scaleup where you built, not inherited. MBB background with hands-on execution? even better.
- builder, not operator. you don't need a playbook handed to you – you write it. you've designed outbound from scratch at least once, and you know the difference between activity and output. ambiguity doesn't slow you down – it's where you do your best work.
- category thinker. you've sold (or built GTM for) something the market didn't have a name for yet. you don't sell into industrial enterprises, you co-create with them: shaping how they see their future, and shaping how we build ours around them. you think in segments and sequences, not spray-and-pray.
- raises the bar, not just the headcount. you've helped attract and develop other strong commercial hires, not manage a junior team. you can have the hard conversation with a peer. people who've worked with you say you made them sharper.
- industrial DNA. you sell to industrial enterprises fluently. you know procurement cycles, budget timing, and multi-stakeholder sign-off – from experience, not a training deck.
- native German, strong professional English (C1+). industrial enterprise buyer call in the morning, investor-grade content in the afternoon. both land.
