As we continue to grow our business in Spain, we're looking for someone to take full ownership of our Spanish General Ledger Accounting. You'll work closely with our Finance team in Barcelona, ensuring accurate financial reporting while helping to shape and optimize our accounting processes.

How your role will look like:

• Financial Closing Responsibility: You will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Spanish GAAP (PGC) , ensuring a timely fast-close process.
• Accounting & Account Management: You will analyze complex accounting matters, perform account reconciliations and clarifications, and ensure a high quality of financial statements.
• Processes & Governance: You will document relevant finance processes and controls, further develop existing closing processes, and ensure compliance with them.
• Systems & Transformation: You will support the implementation and further development of ERP and finance systems and contribute to the continuous optimization of the accounting landscape.
• Automation & AI: You will identify opportunities to optimize processes and use AI tools in a targeted way to reduce manual work and sustainably increase efficiency.
• Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: You will work closely with international Finance teams, actively share your knowledge within the team, and contribute to the continuous development of the way we work.

What you need to succeed:

• Strong Accounting Expertise: Several years of professional experience in general ledger accounting, as well as solid experience in preparing standalone financial statements under IFRS and Spanish GAAP (PGC).
• International Closing Experience: A strong understanding of group structures and experience with fast-close processes; experience in a listed company is a plus.
• Process Mindset: Proven experience in optimizing and standardizing finance processes, as well as a strong motivation to actively drive change.
• Independent Working Style: You work in a structured, self-driven, and solution-oriented way and keep an overview even when dealing with complex topics.
• Languages & Systems: Very good written and spoken Spanish and English skills, as well as good German skills. Experience with Oracle NetSuite or comparable finance systems is an advantage.
• AI Competence: Experience in effectively using AI tools to increase productivity and solve problems
