We’ve come a long way since our co-founders (Kev & Dave), hand delivered the very first Butternut Box. Today, we feed hundreds of thousands of hungry dogs across the UK and Europe - but we won’t stop until we’re feeding dogs everywhere. To get there, we need a team of brilliant people who share that ambition to come and work for us.

Our Berlin office is located right at centre, in Mitte. You’ll be joining a close-knit team of around 12 people, plus a number of adorable office dogs. Dogs are very much welcome in the office

About the role

We’re looking for a performance-minded, hands-on, full-time Video Content Creative to help scale the Butternut Box brand across Germany and Italy.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for localising, iterating and creating, high-converting video ad concepts that directly support brand and commercial growth. This isn’t just about making things look great, it’s about understanding how creative hooks, drop-off rates, and CTR translate into business impact.

Your time will be spent on concepting, localising, transcreating, editing, and iterating existing winning ad assets for our growth channels. You’ll work closely with our Brand & Creative team, Growth marketers, and international stakeholders. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on high execution velocity, creative testing, and data-backed iteration.

Setup: This is a hybrid role, based in Berlin, with two home office days per week (Tuesdays and Fridays).

What you’ll do

• Produce, transcreate, and scale a high weekly output of paid social video ads ( avg. 5–6 new or localised creatives per week per market ) for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Create, test, and iterate scroll-stopping video concepts, hooks, and messaging based on creative briefs, ad performance insights, and trending social content.
• Adapt top-performing global creative assets for German and Italian audiences, utilising local cultural nuances, trend adaptation, and AI voice-over tools.
• Create short-form video and motion design assets using After Effects.
• Create long-form video assets using Premiere Pro.
• Concept, film, and direct short-form content featuring dogs, dog parents, products, and brand moments, both on set and out in the wild.
• Translate marketing briefs and insights from the Growth team into strong visual stories alongside Brand, Growth, and Copywriting stakeholders.

A bit about you

We’re looking for a performance-driven creator who balances artistic quality with speed, commercial awareness, and testing agility.

What we’re looking for

• Fluent/Native in German and fluent in English (both written and spoken).
• Comfortable concepting and localising content
• Experience digesting creative briefs and metrics to create high performing paid social content.
• Confident using video editing and motion design tools like After Effects and Premiere Pro.
• Solid understanding of direct-response performance principles (hooks, pacing, storytelling) and how to read ad metrics to improve business impact.
• High execution velocity; proactive, structured, organised, and able to manage multiple projects, tight deadlines, and frequent iterations in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of composition, framing, and lighting for short-form video.
• A genuine love for dogs!

Nice to haves (the more, the merrier)

• Italian language skills
• Familiarity with AI-assisted creative tools or automated video platforms (e.g., ElevenLabs and SolidLabs)

⏳ The interview process:

1. Initial call with your dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner, carried out remotely.
2. Skills interview, usually carried out remotely.
3. Behaviours interview, carried out in person.
4. Informal coffee, in person with two squad members.

We usually expect our interview process to take 3-5 weeks, end to end.

• Our team thrives on collaboration. We spend 3 days a week in our Berlin office (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and 2 days working from wherever you’re most productive. Because being together is a big part of our culture, we’re looking for someone within a comfortable commutable distance to London.
