Germany is an important market in our next stage of growth, and this role will have a direct impact on how successfully we scale and strengthen that footprint.

**Why this role matters
**

This is not a maintenance role. We are looking for a senior operator who can drive performance across a multi-city last-mile network, raise execution standards, and build a disciplined, scalable operating model through strong leadership and rigorous partner management.

As Head of Operations for Germany, you will own the operational performance of the country, lead the local team, and work cross-functionally with central and local stakeholders to improve service quality, efficiency, and profitability.

Tasks

• Own Germany operations end-to-end and ensure operational targets and business KPIs are consistently met or exceeded.

• Lead the German operations team, set clear priorities, establish accountability, and raise the performance bar across the organization.

• Translate company strategy into an effective local operating model and execute improvement plans with speed and discipline.

• Manage operational performance delivered through our subcontractor network; ensure the right balance of capacity, service quality, reliability, and cost.

• Represent DODO in operational discussions with clients and maintain strong working relationships with key partners and third-party logistics providers.

• Negotiate with subcontractors and operational partners to secure sustainable commercial terms while protecting service standards.

• Drive continuous improvements in efficiency, utilization, productivity, and direct cost performance across the business.

• Use data to identify operational bottlenecks, track service quality, and implement corrective actions that improve customer and partner outcomes.

• Ensure planning settings, operational parameters, and execution standards are optimized for each city, zone, and client setup.

• Partner closely with Finance, Planning, Commercial, HR, Product, and central Operations to solve issues, align priorities, and scale best practices.

• Act as the senior operations leader for Germany and serve as a role model for high standards, ownership, and a performance-driven culture.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role within large-scale, fast-paced logistics, last-mile delivery, e-grocery, or similarly complex service operations.

• A track record of improving operational performance and delivering measurable business results in a demanding environment.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead managers and teams across multiple locations.

• Solid experience managing performance through external partners or subcontractor networks; experience in a 3PL-led operating model is highly relevant.

• Strong analytical thinking, a structured way of working, and the ability to move from diagnosis to action quickly.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.

• A hands-on, high-ownership mindset combined with strong strategic judgment.

• Professional fluency in German and English.

• Experience in food or grocery delivery is a strong advantage.
