Tasks

About the Role

Youll bridge the gap between tax execution and product development.
You ensure our tax workflows are accurate compliant and built to scale.

What youll do:

• Support users in completing their tax returns.
• Own day-to-day tax operations processing filings ensuring accuracy managing timelines and resolving escalations.
• Write tax calculation logic using internal tools built by our tech team.
• Translate operational learnings into product improvements: collaborate closely with Product & Engineering to shape features like Plan My Taxes real-time estimators and partner onboarding flows.
• Act as the operational bridge between AnyTax and partner fintechs ensuring tax compliance and product quality.

Requirements

What you bring to the table

• Solid understanding of German Income Tax Law especially with regard to employees self-employed individuals and small businesses
• At least 3 years of experience working in accounting tax preparation or tax advisory services
• You communicate fluently in German and English both verbally and in writing and can explain complex tax topics simply and understandably.
• Strong attention to detail and an eye for process improvement.
• Comfort collaborating across teams (tax ops product engineering).
• Enjoy autonomy taking ownership of the details and have a strong ability and drive to manage your own projects and work from start to finish
• Excitement to be part of a high-performing team surrounded by talented peers who will challenge you to grow and are ready to tackle the ambitious road ahead

Bonus Points

• Experience at a tax software company.
• Exposure to product-related tasks experimentation or A/B testing.
• Steuerberater qualification or tax-related degree.
• Familiarity with ELSTER XML schemas or related technical infrastructure.
