Strategic Carrier Manager

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented, German-speaking operator to own and scale our auditing and claims operations. The role sits at the intersection of carrier operations, automation, and product, with direct impact on customer value and revenue recovery.

Tasks

We are looking for a deeply experienced, German-speaking Strategic Carrier Manager to join our team in Berlin. This is a unique opportunity to act as our internal subject matter expert, translating years of carrier-facing experience into the core logic of our platform.

Your journey with us will be a structured evolution:

• Phase 1 (The Foundation): Your first focus will be solidifying our existing carrier landscape to build a rock-solid knowledge base.
• Phase 2 (The Growth): Once the foundation is in place, you will take ownership of defining carrier-correct processes, ensuring our automated audits, claims, and SLAs reflect the complexity of carrier contracts and operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge Base: Own the creation and maintenance of our carrier "source of truth," documenting contract structures, operational nuances, and SLAs.
• Product Evolution: Bring real carrier insights into the product, helping shape our roadmap with direct operational feedback.
• Process Definition: Translate your expertise in carrier negotiations and performance monitoring into clear processes that our dev team can automate.
• Strategic Discovery: Work closely with Product and Ops to ensure our platform correctly identifies carrier errors, handles escalations, and respects contract-specific terms.
• Stakeholder Management: Stay on top of carrier developments, pricing shifts, and operational changes to keep Senvo ahead of the market.
• Data Integrity: Work with performance metrics and audits to ensure our claims processes are data-driven and structured.

Requirements

Who You Are

• Experience: Experience: 5 to 7+ years of experience, including at least 3 years in a carrier-focused role. You have owned end-to-end carrier relationships and negotiated contracts for meaningful shipment volumes.
• Parcel Expert: You have strong expertise in parcel carriers and contracts, and you spot the fine print that others overlook.
• Background: You have worked in a fast-paced startup or within a high-volume e-commerce shipper. You are hands-on, curious, and enjoy finding inefficiencies and solving complex operational problems. .
• Languages: Native or business-level fluency in both German and English .
• Strategic & Adaptable: You can translate technical carrier jargon into business solutions and product requirements.
• Proactive Communicator: You are comfortable managing stakeholders and aren't afraid to pick up the phone to dive deep into carrier operational logic.
