Head of the International Shared Services Center (Accounting) (m/w/d)

We are currently looking for a Head of the International Shared Services Center (Accounting) .

Tasks

What you will be doing:

• Establishing and Scaling the SSC: Organizing a unified accounting center for an international group expanding into new markets;
• Standardization & Compliance: Ensuring high-quality, timely accounting in line with Group policy and international standards (IFRS);
• Process Modernization: Standardizing primary document workflows, master-data directories (ISO 8000 principles), and cost allocation methodologies;
• Fast Close & Reporting: Managing month-end closing calendars, ensuring 100% reconciliation of intragroup transactions, and preparing consolidation packages;
• Efficiency & Robotization: Identifying manual operations to implement "quick wins" (RPA, light automation) and reducing execution time for recurring processes by 30-70%;
• Partner Management: Coordinating with local outsourcing providers to ensure accurate tax filing and statutory reporting;
• Quality Control: Reporting monthly to the Group CFO on accounting quality, error rates, and team productivity dashboards.

Requirements

You are our candidate if:

• You have 7+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience;
• You have a proven track record in mid-level or senior management roles within Shared Service Centers (SSC) of international companies;
• You have managed accounting support for at least 5 active operating companies across different jurisdictions;
• You possess in-depth knowledge of IFRS and hands-on experience preparing reporting packages and managing complex accounting transformations;
• You have a successful history of increasing productivity through automation, standardization, and robotization;
• You have experience managing large teams (the current structure includes 4 teams with up to 50 employees total);
• You hold a higher degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics;
• Your English level is Fluent;
• Bonus points: Experience in Big 4 audit/consulting, familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central , or progress toward ACCA/CPA certifications;
• Personal traits: You have analytical rigor, a "hands-on" approach, and the ability to drive change through collaboration and influence.
