What you’ll do and why it’s career defining

You will be our first Developer Relations (DevRel) hire, responsible for building and scaling the Unikraft developer ecosystem. This is about advocacy and about creating the channels, content, and community that make Unikraft the natural choice for developers. You’ll represent Unikraft externally, amplify our open-source roots, and help build a movement around a new category of cloud infrastructure.

What You’ll Own

• Community Building : Establish, grow, and engage our developer community across GitHub, Discord, forums, and events.
• Advocacy & Evangelism : Speak at conferences, lead workshops, and create content that educates and excites developers about unikernels.
• Developer Experience Feedback : Serve as the voice of the community, funneling developer feedback directly into product and engineering.
• Content Creation : Produce technical blogs, tutorials, demos, and videos that make it easy for developers to get started and go deep.
• Open Source Engagement : Drive contributions, foster collaboration, and strengthen ties with the broader unikernel and cloud-native ecosystem.
• Program Building : Launch initiatives like ambassador programs, hackathons, and challenges to expand reach and adoption.
  

What We’re Looking For

• Developer Empathy : You know how developers think, what excites them, and how to earn their trust. Maybe you even were one at some point?
• Public Speaking & Presence : Proven experience presenting at meetups, conferences, or online events. It helps if you actually like this part of the job :).
• Technical Ability : Hands-on enough to demo, build sample apps, and answer questions from infra engineers with confidence.
• Content Skills : Strong writing and/or multimedia experience with technical content that resonates with developers.
• Community DNA : Experience building or nurturing open-source or developer communities.
• [ BONUS ] Ecosystem Network : Existing presence in the cloud-native, infra, agentic AI or open-source developer ecosystem.
