Senior Full Stack Developer (PHP/Symfony focus)

MILES Mobility GmbH, Germany’s largest carsharing company, launched a second business line in 2022: long-term car subscriptions. Through our digital platform, customers can book and manage their subscription online. To accelerate our growth and scale our operations, we’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to lead the technical evolution of our subscription platform.

About our team:

You will be working closely together with our lean, cross-functional team in the areas of strategy, operations, logistics, and product. We work in a hybrid model and meet twice a week at our Charlottenburg office. Our primary working language is English, but internal team interactions are often in German.

Your Responsibility

• Design and develop features that enhance mobility and user experience

• Automate workflows from vehicle delivery to final invoicing

• Integrate 3rd-party APIs (logistics, cross-platform, etc.) with scalable backends

• Build self-service tools that empower customers to manage their subscriptions

• Collaborate with product and operations to define clear, testable requirements

• Make an immediate impact on a growing product used by thousands of customers

• Work closely with product leadership to shape the roadmap

• Take ownership in a fast-moving, collaborative, and low-bureaucracy environment

Your Experience

• A degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification

• 6+ years of software development experience, in fast-paced, product-driven teams

• Deep expertise in backend technologies:  PHP with Symfony framework,  Python , and  Go

• Strong database design and optimization skills with  MariaDB, Postgre SQL, and others

• Experience building scalable backend systems and integrating third-party APIs

• Proficiency in React and front-end development 

• Strong testing practices (unit, integration, e2e) and CI/CD familiarity

• Excellent written and spoken English

Nice to have:

• Experience with e-commerce or rental/subscription platforms

• Familiarity with EasyAdmin and Sulu.io CMS

• German language skills
