Product Engineer

The Company:

A Series A, YC-backed AI startup ($18M raised) building the platform for B2C companies to manage voice AI agents at scale. We operate without PMs. Engineers here own the full lifecycle from ideation to production. We value extreme velocity, in-person collaboration in Berlin, and shipping over formal process.

The Role:

You are a core builder, not just a coder. You will identify customer problems, design solutions, and ship to production on day one. We do not have code reviews. We move fast, work in pairs, and value a "figure it out" mentality. This is for someone who thrives on extreme ownership and wants to see their work impact the business immediately.

Real Requirements:

- High Agency: Verifiable evidence of building things outside of work (side projects, hackathons, or previous solo ventures).
- Startup DNA: Experience in high-velocity, YC-style environments. You know how to make pragmatic trade-offs.
- Top-Tier Fundamentals: Strong engineering background, likely from a top-tier technical university (e.g., HPI).
- Product Mindset: You care more about customer outcomes than the specific tech stack (though we use TypeScript, Python, and AI).
- On-site in Berlin: This is 100% in-person. We provide relocation and visa support for exceptional talent.

Real Responsibilities:

- Own features end-to-end: from initial customer pain point to deployment.
- Build and iterate on voice AI agent infrastructure and management tools.
- Ship code directly to production multiple times a day without a safety net.
- Work closely with the founding team to shape the product direction.
- Solve complex engineering problems with a focus on user value, not technical perfection.

- You need a 9-5 balance or a highly structured environment.
- You believe code reviews and formal processes are mandatory for speed.
- You are more interested in "cool tech" than solving business problems.

The Process:

1. Technical screening & reverse system design.
2. Full-day on-site in Berlin (9:00-15:00) including coding, product thinking, and a deep-dive career interview.

- Salary: 85k EUR - 160k EUR
