Your mission

The BLS Group is developing a modern, modular multi‑benefit platform that is being carved out of an existing structure and evolved into a scalable cloud architecture. To support this transformation, we are looking for an experienced technical leader who combines hands‑on execution with the ability to build and lead a strong, cross‑functional software and DevOps team.
In this role, you will take technical ownership of core platform components, drive complex architecture and development initiatives, and lay the foundation for a stable, secure, and high‑performance system landscape. • You are responsible for the architecture, implementation, and operation of modern platform and software components, with a strong focus on microservices, API‑first approaches, and an AWS‑based infrastructure
• You drive the step‑by‑step extraction and modernization of existing systems, advancing the renewal of the current platform and implementing modular, scalable services
• To ensure reliable delivery, you design, build, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and efficient deployment processes
• You lead, coach, and develop a strong, interdisciplinary engineering and DevOps team, including recruiting, knowledge sharing, and the establishment of agile ways of working
• Through close collaboration with Product Management, Security, IT Infrastructure, and external partners, you ensure clear priorities, sound architectural decisions, and transparency on progress

Your profile

• You have several years of experience in software engineering and the architecture of modern web and cloud systems (e.g. Kotlin, TypeScript, React, Node.js, JVM‑based frameworks)
• You demonstrate strong expertise in microservices design, API‑first models, and cloud operations, particularly on AWS
• You have already taken on technical leadership responsibilities, for example as a Lead Developer, Tech Lead, or Team Lead
• You are confident working with DevOps automation, containerization, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, and logging
• You also bring solid knowledge of IT security and data protection, ideally in environments similar to ISO 27001
• You speak German with full professional (negotiation‑level) proficiency
