We are now looking for a passionate working student who loves creating compelling content and ensuring our brand's message is heard. This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fully remote environment.

Your Mission

As a Marketing Working Student, you'll be a crucial part of our marketing team, ensuring our brand is visible, our content is engaging, and our community is supported.

Your responsibilities include:

• Create engaging content
  Understand our open source software and communicate technical concepts and their impact in an accessible and compelling way. Write blog posts, social media content, and other materials that strengthen our voice and connect with our audience.

• Handle translations & localization
  Use the Crowdin platform to translate content from English to German, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and high linguistic quality.

• Maintain our digital presence
  Support our website’s content management by identifying needed updates, adding new content, and ensuring everything is accurate and up-to-date.

• Strengthen our community and visibility
  Contribute to initiatives that help more people get to know OpenProject while also deepening the understanding of our existing community’s needs. Support visibility efforts including SEO, GEO, events, with a focus on authentic engagement and community growth.

• Support the team
  Review marketing content, assist with coordination tasks, and help wherever needed. Bring reliability, flexibility, and initiative to everything you do.

You're a great fit for this role if...

• You are proficient in both German (native/professional level) and English (professional level), both written and verbal.

• You are currently enrolled in a university program, preferably in marketing, communications, media, or a related field.

• You are a self-starter who enjoys working in a remote-first team with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility.

• You are comfortable working with technical topics and are willing to dive into tools and systems you may not know yet — and learn them quickly.

• You have a keen eye for detail, especially when it comes to translation work, content reviews, and website updates.

• You are passionate about open source software and want to be part of a mission-driven company that promotes transparency and collaboration.
