(Senior) Software Engineer (w/m/d)

• Your focus will be backend web application engineering, but everyone in the team works full stack with a strong product focus. That means, we first and foremost build products, that bring value to our users
• You maintain the existing API services as well as build and operate the next generations of our Packmatic platform, that serves our customers, suppliers, and partners
• We currently use NestJS in the backend. We store our data in PostgreSQL, communicate via REST APIs and message queues, and deploy our apps with Docker in our fully automated AWS cloud infrastructure.
• TypeScript everywhere – but we always chose the best tool for the job, and we look forward to relying on your expertise making future decisions

• Experience: 4+ years of experience in backend software development, with a strong product-focus
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in TypeScript and NestJS for backend development, as well as experience with RDBMS (especially PostgreSQL), AWS services & cloud architecture. Experience with React or Vue.js for frontend engineering are a big plus.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and address complex issues as well as refining data schemas and workflows.
• UI Development: Ability to build and maintain supporting UIs that aid in the integration process, leveraging modern frontend technologies, would be a plus.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• General Requirements: You live in Berlin, speak fluent English, and you want to work in a hybrid work model.
