QA Test Engineer (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases across our RegTech product suite
• Build and extend our automated test coverage, contributing to a long-term shift from manual to automated testing wherever it adds value
• Investigate, reproduce, and clearly document defects, working closely with developers to drive them to resolution
• Validate functional and non-functional requirements across releases
• Contribute to QA strategy, tooling choices, and continuous improvement of our testing practices
• Partner with product management and engineering throughout the development lifecycle, from refinement to release

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• 3–5 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing
• A solid track record in both manual and automated testing, with a passion for high-quality test design and edge-case analysis
• Practical experience with test automation frameworks and building maintainable test suites for real-world applications.
• Proficiency in Java-based environments (Java/Gradle/Containers) and the ability to write/analyze SQL queries for troubleshooting
• Experience testing APIs and backend services in addition to complex UI workflows
• A strong analytical approach to root-cause analysis and familiarity with CI/CD, performance, or security testing in an Agile setup
• Fluency in both German and English (essential for our multicultural environment)
