Investment Analyst (m/f/d)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Investment Analyst to join our high-performing Investments team in Berlin. In this role, you will collaborate with leading private equity managers, drive strategic initiatives, and support new product launches. This position offers hands-on exposure to diverse private equity strategies and the opportunity to take ownership of impactful responsibilities while building meaningful industry relationships from day one.

You will:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data and models in Excel to evaluate investment opportunities
• Develop a deep understanding of the private markets through exposure to multiple strategies, including Buyout, Growth, Venture Capital, Secondaries, Infrastructure, and Private Debt
• Prepare comprehensive due diligence reports for primary fund investments, co-investments, and secondary transactions
• Drive strategic initiatives, including the launch of new products and cross-functional projects
• Monitor and report on fundraising performance, contributing to achieving target fundraise goals
• Design and refine presentations in PowerPoint to summarise findings and recommendations
• Cross collaborate internally to ensure seamless execution and commercialisation of investment opportunities
• Contextualise data and insights from multiple sources to provide clear, actionable conclusions

The next Moonfarian:

• Has a minimum of 1 year relevant financial services experience in areas such as investment banking, transaction services, private markets, consulting firms, or a start-up
• Has proven technical and analytical skills, with experience conducting financial valuation analysis
• Has a high proficiency in Excel, including financial and valuation modeling
• Has a hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial mindset
• Has refined research skills and is committed to finding the most accurate data available
• Is highly collaborative and understands the value in sharing information
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Is a natural at building relationships and has the ability to listen and persuade
• Has a proactive approach and takes ownership of their work
