Project Manager

Arηs is a fully  independent  group of companies specialized in managing complex  IT projects and systems  for  large organisations , focusing on state-of-the-art software development, business intelligence and infrastructure services.

Established in 2016, the Greek entity Arηs Developments Hellas aims to extend Arηs Group activities dedicated to the European market providing high-quality services in Software Development, covering the entire application development lifecycle: starting with user requirements, business process redesign and specifications, to continue with development, testing and application maintenance.

Job Description

1. Project Management

• Develop and manage all aspects of projects and engagements, including planning, vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues.

• Oversee day-to-day project activities and resources.

• Chair project management team meetings and ensure adequate resources are procured to achieve objectives within planned timeframes.

• Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.

• Provide regular status reporting on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating effectively across leadership.

1. Business and Senior Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage with external stakeholders and internal business sponsors/focal points across the organization globally.

• Provide updates and demonstrate functional acumen to show how solutions support project goals while aligning with industry best practices.

• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to various audiences, including project teams, sponsors, and key stakeholders.

• Deliver appropriate and effective executive-level communication.

1. Team Management and Performance

• Set and manage project/program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.

• Coach, mentor, motivate, and oversee the project team.

• Monitor the performance of project staff to ensure high standards and efficiency.

1. Quality Control and Assurance

• Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution.

• Report on project success criteria, results, metrics, testing, and deployment management activities

Qualifications

Education & Certification

• First-level university degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification or foundational certification in project management methodologies: such as PMI, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum.
• Working knowledge of English: C1 or higher level.
  

The candidate must have:

• At least five (5) years of recent professional experience in program/project planning, management, and successful delivery of complex cross-functional or interdependent projects, some at the global or international level.

• Experience collaborating with teams (physically or virtually) in an international and multi-cultural environment whilst producing results.

• Proven experience in writing project plans and project-related documentation.

• Experience in facilitating workshops, presentations to senior stakeholders, and managing change in a federated (decentralized) organization.

• MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

• MS SharePoint, MS Visio, MS Project

The candidate could have:

• Extensive experience working across multiple time zones without the need for face-to-face meetings.

• Experience with UN or other international or multinational organizations.

• Experience with professional business services such as consulting.

• Additional experience in facilitating workshops, presentations to senior stakeholders, and managing change in a federated (decentralized) organization.
