How will you contribute to our mission?
As the (Interim) Head of Finance (m/f/d, Parental Leave Cover) , you will be a key partner to our CEO and the entire Management Team. You will ensure that the company's financial planning, budgeting, and performance management are consistently aligned with our long-term strategic goals and operational realities.
This position is advertised as a parental leave cover and is based in our Berlin office, but can also be fulfilled remotely as needed.
Your Main Responsibilities Include:
- Strategic Partnership and Budget Coordination: Coordination of the financial strategy, budget, and goal setting in close cooperation with the CEO, including responsibility for the consolidated budget.
- Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Providing financial models and utilizing AI-supported scenario planning to inform strategic decisions as part of business partnering with management colleagues.
- Financial Reporting and Investor Relations: Preparing management and shareholder reports and preparing for Board Meetings.
- Closing and Compliance: Managing Accounting Partners to ensure precise and timely quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Cash and Treasury Management: Responsibility for Treasury Management & AP/AR processes (Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable).
- Data and System Authority: Ensuring accurate MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue) reporting and cash-in forecasts.
- Capital Management and Governance: Managing Cap Table and VSIP (Virtual Stock Option Plan, or similar equity scheme) as well as governance topics.
- Team Leadership and Development: Disciplinary and professional leadership of the Finance Team, including goal setting, recruiting, and performance reviews.
For this position, we are looking for the following:
- Deep entrepreneurial understanding in SaaS and expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- High level of professional competence and confident application of AI tools in financial planning processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to align team and individual goals with company objectives.
- Experience in leading and developing teams, as well as sound knowledge of HR processes (Recruiting, Performance Reviews).
- Fluent English skills (both written and spoken), ideally advanced or fluent in German as well.
