Tasks

• Design & Implement APIs: Architect, build, and maintain RESTful and event-driven microservices using FastAPI.
• Database Management: Optimize and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and migrations for high throughput and reliability.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy, monitor, and scale services on AWS (EKS, RDS, S3) following best practices.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Build and orchestrate Docker containers with Kubernetes (EKS) to ensure seamless deployments.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and maintain continuous integration and delivery workflows using GitHub Actions.
• Testing & Quality: Write unit, integration, stress and end-to-end tests to uphold code quality and reliability.Architectural Design: Collaborate on software architecture decisions, especially around microservices, event streaming, and system observability.

Requirements

• Startup Experience: 6+ years in a high-velocity startup or product-centric environment, shipping features end-to-end.
• Languages & Frameworks: Expert in Python and FastAPI, with a strong grasp of modern API design.
• Databases: Proficient with PostgreSQL (indexes, migrations, tuning) and familiarity with at least one NoSQL store.
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on AWS experience (compute, storage, serverless).
• DevOps Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD toolchains.
• Testing Mindset: Deep understanding of the testing pyramid and test frameworks (pytest, unittest).
• Software Architecture: Proven track record designing scalable, fault-tolerant microservices.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Helm.
• GitHub Actions and shell scripting for automation.
• Audio processing pipelines or DSP familiarity.
• Observability stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK.
