Senior Python Software Engineer (all gender)

We are searching for a high-impact Senior Python Software Engineer , to join our Content team, that can make a direct contribution to the company’s goals by creatively solving technically challenging problems working with high-load systems, upholding high software quality standards and cutting down operational work through automation processes.

What you will do:

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code.

• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.

• Debug, test, and optimise applications for performance and scalability.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.

The goal of your work is:

• Successfully implement high-impact systems that can handle high volumes of data.

• Reduce manual workload for teams by 30% within the first year through automation.

• Maintain a system uptime of at least 99.9%.

Workplace:

Berlin & Hybrid: HQ office in Berlin, where the team often meets.

Remote: We are a remote-first company with teams located around the Globe.

You have:

• Python experience (other languages such as C and C++ are a plus)

• Frameworks: preferably FastAPI, aio

• Knowledge of asynchronous functions (or any experience with parallel computing)

• Docker and Kubernetes (nice to have)

• General understanding of SQL databases, indexes and locks

• You are driven, ambitious, and willing to get hands-on in shaping the future of ground transportation travel.

• You show ownership and responsibility for your problem space.

• You are fluent in English, both verbal and written.
