Fund Reporting Manager (m/f/d)

As Moonfare scales, we are looking for an experienced Fund Reporting Manager to own and elevate our entire investor and fund reporting function. you will take end-to-end ownership of how Moonfare's reporting is produced, reviewed and delivered, drive stakeholder management across internal teams and external providers, represent reporting in cross-functional projects, and continuously identify and implement improvements as our investor base and fund platform grow.

You will:

• Own and manage the entire reporting function across Moonfare's fund vehicles quarterly investor reports, capital account statements, and ad hoc reporting ensuring accuracy, consistency and on-time delivery to investors
• Build and enforce quality-control and review processes so that every report is accurate, well presented and investor-ready before it goes out, rather than reviewing after the fact
• Review and validate fund administrator outputs, including NAV calculations, capital call and distribution notices, and underlying fund performance data.
• Act as the primary point of contact to solve queries on report content and figures — clarifying methodology, resolving discrepancies, and coordinating with fund administrators or Finance where source data is in question
• Ensure all investor reporting aligns with private market best practices and internal valuation policies.
• Manage relationships with, and act as the key point of contact for, cross-functional and external stakeholders including fund administrators, Finance, Legal, Investor Relations and audit counterparties
• Represent reporting in cross-functional projects (e.g. vendor migrations, platform changes, new fund launches), owning timelines, risks and stakeholder communication for your workstream
• Build and improve reporting processes and infrastructure that scale as Moonfare's investor base and fund platform grow, partnering with Engineering and Data on automation of recurring production and reconciliation
• Guide and oversee the work of analysts involved in report production, providing quality review, coaching and prioritisation across the team's workload

The next Moonfarian:

• 4+ years in financial operations, fund administration or investor/financial reporting within financial services, including experience owning or managing a reporting function or comparable process at scale. Private markets experience is a strong plus.
• Excel proficiency: advanced Excel skills, financial modelling, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
• Stakeholder management: proven track record managing multiple internal and external stakeholders, fund administrators, auditors, Finance, Legal, IR; and keeping complex, deadline-driven processes on track
• Project experience: experience contributing to or leading cross-functional projects such as system or vendor migrations, process re-engineering, or new product/fund launches
• Analytical rigour: strong analytical skills and high attention to detail; comfortable living in financial data and unlikely to let a discrepancy slide
• Process-improvement mindset: a genuine track record of identifying inefficiencies and designing and implementing better ways of working, including with automation and AI tooling, with human-in-the-loop checkpoints on regulated or investor-facing output
• Bonus:
  • Strong technical grasp of private equity fund structures and accounting concepts, including capital account mechanics, waterfall and carried interest calculations, and standard performance metrics (IRR, MOIC, DPI).
  • Comfort with SQL or light scripting (e.g. Python) is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Tableau, Jira, and Confluence is a plus
