Intern - Founders Associate (f/m/d) Fintech Startup (Serial Entrepreneurs) Starting in September 2026

We co-founded and led Viafintech (Barzahlen) to 100+ FTE , one of the most successful German fintechs, active in 17 markets across the EU and USA, and sold it in 2021 for a € three-digit million amount to NYSE-listed Paysafe Group.

Now we’re off to our next venture. This time we’re building a global champion for prepaid products: gift cards (Apple, Amazon, Google), airtime and eCash all in one simple API. Think of finperks as a stripe/adyen for all prepaid products and payments.

We started in summer 2025 and in just a few months we have already onboarded 700+ brands, and our first client goes live by the end of the year.

Many people completely underestimate the market size: about €600bn sold per year today, going to €1.8tn by 2028.

Instead of 5 players in the chain (brand → issuing tech provider → global distributor → local distributor → client), we connect brands directly with clients via the finperks platform. Today 95% of prepaid is still sold in the Global North; we believe that for the gig economy to monetize the Global South, prepaid will be key - from Netflix and Google to Apple and Uber.

Tasks

As a Founder Associate Intern, you'll work directly alongside the founding team and be involved in every aspect of building finperks:

• Market & Business Model Analysis: Research market trends, analyze competitors, and help identify new business opportunities in the FinTech space
• Strategic Projects: Support key strategic initiatives, from product development to go-to-market strategies and partnership discussions
• Operational Excellence: Help streamline processes and implement tools and automations that scale our operations efficiently
• Customer & Partner Engagement: Participate in customer conversations (N26, Trade Republic, Adidas, Apple, and many more), partner meetings, and help shape our value proposition based on real market feedback
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work across product, tech, and business development to drive initiatives forward with real impact

Requirements

• Drive & Ambition: You're motivated to go the extra mile and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic startup environments
• Analytical Mindset: You're proficient in PowerPoint and Excel, with strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex business models and market dynamics
• Tech-Savvy: You're comfortable with AI tools and can implement small automations independently
• Communication Skills: Excellent English communication skills. We have a lot of German speakers already in the team. So if you speak French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Portugese, Dutch or any other major european language that would be great.
• Entrepreneurial Spirit: You're excited about building something from scratch and comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration

Nice to have: Prior startup/FinTech or Consulting experience
