We are seeking a talented Legal & Compliance Working Student to join our dynamic team in Berlin.

About the Role

This position reports directly to our Head of Legal and offers hands-on exposure to strategic legal and compliance topics in a fast-growing fintech environment. You will work across the organization, gaining practical experience in regulatory frameworks, data protection, and compliance processes. The role provides strong development opportunities for building a career in legal fintech.

Your tasks

• Support the Legal & Compliance team in daily operational tasks
• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating internal policies, guidelines, and compliance documentation
• Conduct structured legal and regulatory research and summarize findings clearly
• Monitor regulatory updates (e.g., fintech, data protection, consumer protection) and prepare internal briefings
• Support documentation and tracking of compliance processes and internal controls
• Assist in preparing materials for audits, internal reviews, and stakeholder requests
• Maintain organized records and ensure proper documentation management
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, CRM, and Tech on compliance-related topics

Requirements

• Enrolled student in Law, Business Law, Compliance, or a related field
• Strong interest in fintech, regulatory frameworks, and data protection (e.g., GDPR)
• Structured, detail-oriented, and reliable working style
• Analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex topics into clear summaries
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Hands-on mentality and proactive approach, even at junior level
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a plus)
• Confident use of MS Office / Google Workspace (especially Excel/Sheets and Docs)
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) for research and text structuring, with clear awareness of data privacy limitations
