• In your new role, you will work on solutions that our customers rely on for the protection, monitoring and control of power systems, transformers, as well as electrical drives and motors. The digital transformation of the electrical energy system and the challenges of the energy transition require new ways of thinking and innovative approaches in protection, control and monitoring concepts.
• You will work on concepts, models and algorithms for protection and control products. These are used by our customers to operate power systems, transformers and electrical motors reliably, safely and sustainably.
• You will develop innovative products and solutions in international teams, applying your expertise to write best practice code according to industry standards and to implement automated testing frameworks.
• You will continuously analyze global market and technology trends in the areas of power systems, transformers and electrical drive systems in order to identify new innovation ideas and business opportunities.
• Furthermore, you will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of existing products and algorithms by analyzing customer and partner feedback and translating it into robust and future proof solutions.

This is how you convince us

• Education: You hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Drive Engineering, Physics, Communications Engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Experience andSkills
• You bring several years of professional experience, ideally long term, in research and development or in commercial software development
• You have solid expertise in the protection of electrical systems and networks, particularly in the field of transformers and/or electrical motors
• You have experience with steady state and dynamic simulation of electrical systems, e.g. power grids, transformers, electrical machines or drive systems
• Ideally, you have knowledge of electrical motors (e.g. synchronous, asynchronous or special machines), including their operational behavior, protection functions and monitoring concepts
• You have strong skills in professional software development, ideally using C/C++, are confident working with Git, and have experience with Python or MATLAB/Simulink
• You understand the foundations of modern methods such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and can apply them appropriately
• Working style: You impress us with a solution oriented, structured and analytically sound working approach, as well as the ability to clearly analyze and communicate complex technical relationships
• Language skills: You communicate confidently in very good German and English
