SAP Basis / BTP Architect – S/4HANA Cloud & Integration | EMEA | Remote-First

We at WeQuel are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Administrator or BTP Integration Architect for a long-term S/4HANA transformation or cloud migration program. This is a remote-first engagement open to candidates across the entire EMEA region — whether you are based in Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Portugal, South Africa, UAE or anywhere else in Europe, the Middle East or Africa, we want to hear from you.

You will be responsible for the technical landscape, system health and integration architecture — the backbone that makes every transformation succeed.

Your responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain the SAP system landscape including S/4HANA, BTP and cloud environments

• Lead or support the technical migration from ECC to S/4HANA — greenfield, brownfield or RISE

• Configure and manage SAP BTP Integration Suite and CPI for system-to-system integrations

• Manage transport management, system copies, upgrades and patching

• Ensure system performance, availability and security across all SAP environments

• Lead PI/PO to CPI migration and integration modernisation activities

• Facilitate technical workshops and drive solution design with business and IT stakeholders

• Support technical testing, cutover planning and go-live execution

• Collaborate with functional consultants, architects and infrastructure teams across time zones

• Document technical architecture, integration flows and operational procedures to global standards

Must have:

• Minimum 3-8 years of SAP Basis administration and/or technical architecture experience

• Proven hands-on experience with S/4HANA — cloud, on-premise or RISE deployments

• Strong knowledge of SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite (CPI)

• Experience with SAP transport management, system landscapes and technical upgrades

• Solid understanding of security, authorisations and system monitoring in SAP environments

• Experience facilitating workshops and driving solution design with business and IT stakeholders

• Proven ability to work independently in a remote-first, cross-border environment

• Ability to sign a consulting agreement as a registered legal entity — company or sole trader

• Valid right to work — no visa sponsorship available

Language requirements — one or more of the following is required:

• Fluent English — spoken and written (mandatory for all candidates)

• Fluent German — spoken and written (strong advantage)

• Fluent Dutch — spoken and written (strong advantage)

• Fluent Swedish — spoken and written (strong advantage)

• Fluent French — spoken and written (strong advantage)

Good to have:

• Experience with SAP RISE and cloud transition programs

• Background in PI/PO to CPI migration

• Knowledge of SAP LeanIX or enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF

• Experience with SAP BTP services — Integration Suite, Extension Suite, Analytics Cloud

• Industry experience in manufacturing, utilities, financial services or automotive

• SAP Basis or BTP certification

• Experience working across multiple time zones and with distributed global delivery teams
