OpenStack 17 & 18 Architect (Remote, 12-Month Contract)

We are seeking an experienced OpenStack 17 & 18 Architect to join our client on a fully remote basis. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension . In this role, you will play a key part in designing, implementing, and optimizing OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.

Tasks

• Architect and deploy OpenStack 17 & 18 environments, ensuring best practices in cloud infrastructure.
• Design and implement robust cloud solutions for compute, storage, and networking.
• Optimize OpenStack performance, scalability, and security for enterprise-level workloads.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive automation and integration with existing IT ecosystems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex OpenStack-related issues.
• Provide technical guidance, documentation, and best practices for OpenStack deployments.
• Work on upgrades, migrations, and optimizations for OpenStack environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an OpenStack Architect or Engineer, with expertise in OpenStack 17 & 18 .
• Strong background in cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and networking .
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP) .
• Proficiency in Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) .
• Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Kubernetes .
• Experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning of OpenStack environments.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell .
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with excellent communication skills.
