Your mission

ORA is a wine bar and restaurant in the former Oranien pharmacy in the heart of
Kreuzberg. Nadine & Tom Michelberger and Alan Micks took over the esteemed restaurant in 2020 and followed their vision of a neighborhood restaurant and wine bar.
At Ora, head chef Alan Micks creates a regularly changing menu designed to be shared, consisting of dishes that are seasonal, unpretentious, and European. Micks cultivated strong relationships with outstanding producers and suppliers around Berlin. Today, there is a bounty of produce going into the menu from small farms, foragers, and local hunters. More and more ingredients come from the
Michelberger farm in Spreewald. From 5 pm, the bar offers spontaneous visitors a distinct selection of light snacks and small dishes to share for an aperitif or to linger with a selected glass of wine from its extensive and constantly growing wine list.

We are looking for an experienced part-time member to join our ORA service team, specialising in bar work.

As a barman/barwoman, you will be responsible for:

• Hosting guests in the evening
• Preparing cocktails and drinks
• Providing advice (on cocktails and wine)
• Supporting the service team
• Clear communication
• Preparing drinks to recipes and having knowledge of the equipment

Your profile

• Product knowledge & sales awareness
• Delivering a high standard of service
• Knowledge of bar operations, both front and back of house
• Knowledge of the restaurant concept, its operations, structures and processes
• Willingness to develop and progress within a professional team
• A genuine enjoyment of teamwork and hospitality
• A professional and friendly manner when dealing with guests and colleagues
• At least 2–3 years’ professional experience
• Strong specialist expertise in the bar sector

Thursday to Saturday noon for lunch

The Michelberger Hotel & Restaurant is a metropolitan oasis of recreation, togetherness and pleasure in the heart of Berlin. Founded and directed by Nadine and Tom Michelberger.
