Technical Product Manager

Job Mission

As a Technical Product Manager for the App Platform, you’ll help ensure Tibber’s mobile platform enables teams to deliver simple, powerful energy experiences to millions of homes.

Working across product, engineering, and design, you’ll bring clarity to platform priorities and help the app platform stay scalable, reliable, and ready for what’s next.

You’ll report to the Functional Area Lead (who also serves as the Engineering Manager)and Engineering Manager for the App Functional Area and work closely with the Head of Product Design and Product Managers across Tibber’s domains.

What you'll do ✅

• Enable product teams: You’ll treat the App platform as a product with internal users. Your goal is to help product teams ship faster while maintaining a coherent and high-quality mobile experience.
  

• Shape platform priorities: You’ll bring structure and clarity to the App platform backlog, working with engineers, designers, and product teams to prioritize platform work and manage incoming requests.
  

• Coordinate cross-team work: You’ll help coordinate initiatives that impact the app platform, working with product domains to frame initiatives and ensure platform implications are understood early.
  

• Support delivery teams: You’ll help prepare initiatives for Delivery Teams by clarifying scope, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring platform work is ready to move into execution during planning cycles.
  

• Maintain a healthy backlog: You’ll structure and maintain the App platform backlog in Linear, helping teams track technical improvements, feature enablement, and infrastructure needs.
  

• Evolve the mobile platform: As the role matures, you’ll help define the long-term roadmap for the app platform, including platform capabilities, design system implementation, performance improvements, and mobile architecture evolution.

• Platform mindset: You enjoy thinking in systems and platforms, and understand how shared capabilities help product teams build better experiences.
  

• Strong organizational skills: You’re comfortable structuring complex work, and bringing clarity to priorities, backlogs, and cross-team coordination.
  

• Collaborative spirit: You enjoy working closely with engineers, designers, and product managers, and can align different perspectives to move work forward.
  

• Technical curiosity: You don’t need to be an engineer, but you’re comfortable discussing topics like architecture, performance, and platform capabilities.
  

• Clear communication and product thinking: You explain complex ideas clearly and approach internal platforms as products with users, problems, and opportunities to improve.
  

• Background: You may come from product management, technical program management, or platform roles. Experience working with engineering teams, mobile products, or platform teams is a plus.
