What You will Build

SAP Cloud Infrastructure is SAP’s enterprise cloud infrastructure stack that provides European data sovereignty and hyperscaler-grade capabilities.

 

Your architectural leadership will define the complex delivery landscape architecture model for the SAP Cloud Infrastructure delivery into sovereign and private environments following SAP delivery standards, guidelines and best practices. You will create architectural standards which will enable teams to build, package and deliver SAP Cloud Infrastructure fulfilling security, consumption and support requirements of sovereign and private cloud customers.

 

You will advocate simplicity and low TCO for customers putting focus on harmonization of installation and operations tools.

 

You will pick up the role of PPMS entry owner and create the respective PPMS Model including the definition of software components and determine the delivery options for SAP Cloud Infrastructure as SAP product. You will act as bridge between the SAP Cloud Infrastructure development team and program management.

 

Working on systems that serve SAP's global customer base, you'll establish architectural patterns and design standards that enable organizations to run mission-critical applications with enterprise-grade performance and reliability. Your architectural decisions will shape how European organizations build and deploy cloud infrastructure, directly supporting their ability to maintain data sovereignty while accessing world-class cloud capabilities.

 

What You Bring

• Architectural Mastery: expert knowledge of microservices, landscape architecture, CI/CD concepts and tools, Lifecycle Management approaches and tools in distributed environments
• Technical Leadership: 8+ years software development with 3+ years in architecture roles, leading decisions across multiple teams ideally as development architect in SAP development organization with strong focus on delivery and landscape architecture, software packaging and software delivery strategy
• Strategic Vision: Ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs for vendor independence and establish patterns for open source ecosystems
• Operational Excellence: hands on experience in PPMS with PPMS certification – ideally as acting PPMS entry owner for one of SAP Products, hands on experience in fulfilling SAP Corporate and Mandatory Product Standards in context of shipping one of SAP products
• Fluency English
• Depending on project assignment, candidates may need to be eligible for security clearance under German law
