Investment Associate (m/f/d)

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our mission as an Investment Associate. You will be working within European time zones. With Berlin as our hub, we welcome team members from anywhere in Europe who are ready to drive impact with us.

You will work side by side with our General Partners, in-house scientific advisors, and a close-knit team of purpose-driven investors. You will help shape the deals that define our fund, tap into and grow a powerful network across Europe’s VC and startup ecosystem, and step onto the stage at leading industry events as an ambassador for Planet A. Most importantly, you will bring your curiosity and ideas to help sharpen our investment theses - and together, we will back the pioneers building tomorrow’s economy.

Tasks

• Shape the future of planet-positive entrepreneurship : Take joint responsibility for the full investment process - from spotting promising ventures and meeting visionary founders to deep-dives, expert calls, and writing proposals that turn ideas into reality.
• Grow our network and influence : Build and nurture meaningful relationships across Europe’s VC landscape, with founders, and with industry experts - strengthening Planet A’s reach and sharpening our deal-sourcing edge.
• Turn opportunities into investments : Work side-by-side with our General Partners to bring deals across the finish line - from negotiation to closing.
• Dive deep into science and tech : Develop expertise in frontier deep-tech topics that hold the keys to solving global challenges.
• Connect the dots and see ahead : Prepare market and industry research that inspires new investment theses and keeps us ahead of emerging trends.
• Build institutional knowledge : Support internal projects that help Planet A become ever more thesis- and data-driven.
• Be an ambassador for Planet A : Represent us at industry events, on stage, and in writing - from speaking engagements to blog posts - while actively building your own network and amplifying our presence in the venture ecosystem.

Requirements

• You drive impact through investing - with a proven track record in venture capital, private equity, or related investment roles in fast-paced environments. Bonus points for a solid foundation in a scientific or engineering discipline to strengthen our science-meets-business edge.
• Curiosity is your superpower - you are passionate about emerging deep-tech trends and actively building knowledge and relationships within Europe's tech ecosystem. You thrive on immersing yourself in uncharted waters and turning connections into insights.
• You harness AI as a competitive edge - you are comfortable using common AI tools for research, analysis, and workflow automation to accelerate deal evaluation and due diligence.
• Structure meets creative hustle - you bring exceptional self-organisation and a methodical and data-driven approach to your work, while still flexing the agility to adapt and think on your feet.
• Confident, grounded, driven by purpose - you engage external partners with conviction and clarity, yet lead with humility and empathy.
