Quality Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to elevate the reliability and performance of our platform by defining, automating, and continuously improving our quality standards. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with engineering, product, design, and operations to ensure our web and backend systems meet the highest levels of stability, usability, and compliance. You will own test strategy, drive scalable automation across the stack, and stay on top of customer tickets and production issues, turning insights from metrics and feedback into actionable improvements that strengthen our end-to-end product experience.

Tasks

• Define and enforce quality standards in collaboration with engineering, product, and design teams
• Establish and monitor quality metrics , proactively identifying areas for improvement
• Manage and triage customer service tickets from carriers by identifying root causes, validating issues, and creating actionable bug reports for internal teams or locker providers.
• Coordinate with carriers and locker providers to ensure timely resolution of reported issues, including clear communication, escalation, and follow-up on open tickets
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes by leveraging automation and integrating best practices
• Provide guidance on bug tracking, test documentation, and defect resolution processes
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to product quality and safety.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, ideally working on both backend and frontend systems
• A strong track record in delivering high-quality web and backend applications , especially consumer-facing products
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test case development, defect tracking, and test planning
• Hands-on experience with automated UI testing tools and frameworks
• Comfortable collaborating on API testing, performance/load testing, and supporting scalable quality pipelines
• Experience with customer service systems (Jira Service Desk, Zendesk, etc)
• Experience with Git, Agile development practices, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog) to support test coverage and incident analysis
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a pragmatic and autonomous approach to work

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with test tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Programming experience in any of the languages: Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, Go, etc.
• Experience working in regulated environments or with compliance standards (e.g., ISO, GDPR, etc.).
• Contributions to QA best practices, tooling, or community resources.
• Hands-on experience with hardware testing, including device integration, firmware validation, and end-to-end system testing
