Senior Java Software Engineer (m/w/d)

About the position

To strengthen our international team in Germany and the US, we are offering a remote position starting immediately. If you are based outside of Germany or the US, you need to be able to offer your services as a freelancer in the country you are based in. You need to be able to work Berlin time zone (CET / CEST).

Your responsibilities

• You will design and implement new features and enhancements to our platform that require hard real-time constraints and elegant, yet powerful software solutions.
• You will work closely with other engineers and our Product teams, to not only make these systems go faster and handle more and more data, but also to build innovative features for our clients.
• You will prioritize bug fixes to ensure critical up-time.
• You will work collaboratively with other engineering teams to ensure real-time technology integrates seamlessly with other pieces of the platform.

Your profile

• You are experienced in Java with excellent and creative problem-solving abilities.
• You have practical experience with several of the following technologies: Spring, Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, CI tools.
• You have experience building high performance, multi-threaded, distributed applications.
• You have experience with real-time data processing engines and low latency systems is preferred.
• You have excellent Computer Science fundamentals with regards to data structures, algorithms, time complexity, etc.
• You are an engaged, self-motivated person with ability to work efficiently, both independently and in a team and have strong communication skills.
